Bathtub & Tile Paint Coatings
Hard Tops’ Tub and Tile Coating series that’s used for bathtub painting, tile recoloring and other refinishing projects is a two-component acrylic, polyurethane system. It was formulated to have a resilient and attractive gloss finish and retention. Hard Tops’ Bathtub Refinishing Coating series adheres to a number of substrates: porcelain, ceramics, fiberglass, baked enamel, and cultured marble. The Coating is resistant to chemicals and abrasion, and has a rapid cure – all notable features of the Hard Tops’ Tub and Tile Coating series polyurethane. Our coatings are not an epoxy product.
MIXING: The Tub and Tile Coating to catalyst mixing ratio is 3:1, which means three parts Hard Tops’ Tub and Tile Coating to one part Hard Tops’ Catalyst. Mix two parts thoroughly for five minutes prior to bathtub resurfacing or tile resurfacing. Up to two parts Hard Tops’ Reducer may be added for desired spray viscosity during bathtub reglazing or tile refinishing.
SURFACE PREPARATION: Before performing bathtub resurfacing or tile reglazing the surface must be clean, dry, and free of oil, grease, mull scale, and other contaminants. Cleaning methods include wet sanding and solvent scrub. Our special bonding agent must be applied for adhesion to porcelain and ceramic.
APPLICATION: Designed for HVLP application. DO NOT USE HEATED APPLICATOR.
SAFETY: Hard Tops’ Tub and Tile Coating series contains solvents and/or other chemical ingredients. Read material’s safety data-sheet before using Coating. Adequate health and safety precautions should be followed during all storage, handling, use, and drying periods after performing tile or bathtub painting.
