Business Opportunity Program

The Business Opportunity Program at Hard Tops allows you to open your own bathtub refinishing or countertop resurfacing distributorship immediately. It consists of an 8-day training session, and up to two students are accepted per session. These eight days are packed full of information and exercises to help you become one of the best Hard Top refinishers in the world!

Your first three days are spent in North Platte, Nebraska, with the owner of Hard Tops, Alan White, in a classroom setting. All distributors are required to work with Alan - this is an important aspect of the training program at Hard Tops. It allows you to have one-on-one time to learn bathtub reglazing, countertop refinishing, and tile recoloring, directly from Alan, just to list a few skills you’ll gain.

In these three days you’ll be required to take, and pass, four written exams over the material in the Hard Tops Start-Up Guide. You’ll learn to spray properly, to perform kitchen countertop refinishing and bathtub resurfacing, in a controlled environment. You’ll be taught appropriate gun care and maintenance, and learn beginner spot repairs. Tile recoloring, bathtub painting, and countertop refinishings will be no problem for you after training.

After the classroom portion, you’ll move on to complete hands-on training. Each student will be assigned to a trainer and will travel to his destination. You’ll be working with this trainer for the next five days. Here you’ll learn to work in the field. You’ll personally be completing actual jobs, such as bathtub refinishing, refinishing formica and sink refinishing, in your trainer’s market. This will give you a chance to see how your trainer runs his business on a daily basis, including sales and marketing.

The capital requirement is $27,500.
