Tub/Appliance Coating
Description: Hard Tops' Tub/Appliance Coating
series is a two component acrylic polyurethane system formulated to provide a
resilient and attractive gloss finish. The Hard Tops' Tub/Appliance
Coating series will adhere to a number of substrates including: porcelain,
ceramics, fiberglass, baked enamel, and cultured marble. Rapid cure,
resistant to chemicals and abrasion and exceptional gloss retention are notable
features of Hard Tops Tub/Appliance Coating series polyurethane. Hard Tops
Coating have exceptional gloss retention. Our coatings are not an
epoxy product.
Mixing: Coating to catalyst mixing ratio is
3:1 (i.e. three parts Hard Tops' Tub/Appliance Coating to one part Hard
Tops' Catalyst). Mix two parts thoroughly for five minutes prior to use.
Up to two parts of Hard Tops' Reducer may be added for desired spray viscosity.
Surface Preparation: Surface must be clean,
dry, and free of oil, grease, mull scale, and other contaminants. Cleaning
methods include wet-sanding and solvent scrub. Bonding agent must be
applied for adhesion to porcelain and ceramic.
Application: Designed for HVLP application. DO
NOT USE HEATED APPLICATOR

10% Sodium Hydroxide.....No Effect
37% Hydrochloric Acid.....Softening/Discoloring
10% Sulfuric Acid.....No Effect
50% Sulfuric Acid.....Discoloration
Coating was cured for one week before exposure to chemicals. Coating was
subjected to four 1-hour exposures to chemicals.
